Buddhist shrine - hand printed gelatin silver photograph
Whilst wandering around Naoshima - an island devoted to art on Japan's inland sea - we came across this work by Tsuyoshi Ozawa. Slag Buddha 88 consists of eighty eight Buddha statues cast from industrial waste which was illegally dumped on a nearby island.
This is a gelatin silver photograph, which I’ve hand printed in my darkroom from a 35mm negative.
This print is 5 x 7 inches/127mm x 178mm, with a white border around the image. It has a beautiful matte finish on traditional fibre based paper.
This photograph is part of a limited first edition of 10 prints, signed and numbered on the reverse.
